Peg Lateral: Incisors That Look Too Small
Peg Lateral: Incisors That Look Too Small
This condition can be treated conservatively for a natural-looking result.
A peg lateral is a condition in which the lateral incisor is smaller than average size, sometimes with an irregular shape. It can affect the upper or lower lateral incisors, either on one or both of the right and left sides.
While it is a mostly harmless condition, the skinny appearance of the tooth (and the gap caused by it) can be an esthetic concern for some patients.
In the pictured here, Dr. Nahhas restored a peg lateral with a conservatively-done ceramic crown for a very natural-looking result!
